Emma Marga Blanche, born in 1984 in Auray, France, is a French-Swedish designer raised in France and working in Stockholm, Sweden. She studied interior and furniture design at LISAA – L’Institut Supérieur des Arts Appliqués, France, and grew up surrounded by art, as her mother was a painter. In 2011, after moving to Stockholm, she founded the design studio Färg & Blanche with the Swedish designer Fredrik Färg. Since then, they have been working as a duo and collaborating with established furniture brands such as Barcelona Design, Gärsnäs, Petite Friture, and Design House Stockholm, as well as curating several much-acclaimed exhibitions. Known for their experimental stance and distinctive touch, their exclusive collections and art pieces have been shown all around the world and are represented in the collection of the Nationalmuseum, Stockholm. The Misschiefs exhibition at Bångska Våningen was the first time since the studio’s creation that Emma showed her own work, without the duo’s second half.
