Dealing with masculinity and femininity
Butch X Femme, born in 1995 in Stockholm, is an artist whose works deals with questions of masculinity and femininity. She graduated from Beckmans College of Design, Stockholm, with a project called Genderfucked Ornament. Butch X Femme often combines reused and new materials, creating shapes that are raw and unapologetic. She has previously had a residency at Misschiefs when we were located at Linnégatan 4. During her stay at Misschiefs she had a solo show, that explored gender-related themes, through the creation of chandeliers made of mixed materials.
