The first show of the fall of 2021 at Linnégatan 4 was the artist Alice Hägglund aka BUTCH x FEMME. Alice took over the main room visible from the street with her live art studio
BUTCH x FEMME is a Stockholm based artist with interest in masculinity and femininity. The spring of 2021 she graduated from Beckmans with her project Genderfucked Ornament. BUTCH x FEMME often combines reused and new materials, creating shapes that are raw and unapologetic.
”Right now I’m interested in spacial decor such as traditional stucco. At Misschiefs I intend to create chandeliers and stucco made from plaster,
foam and spackling paste, adding beer, urine and blood which has been used throughout history in the making of stucco work.”
