Designer
Sara Szyber, born in 1963 in Sweden, is a Stockholm-based designer whose work spans over a wide range of projects, from furniture and industrial design to exhibition design and interior architecture. She holds an MFA in Interior Architecture and Furniture Design from Konstfack, Stockholm, and has given lectures at Beckmans College of Design, Stockholm, and HDK-Valand, Gothenburg. Sara creates unique pieces, characterized by a focus on materiality, colors, and patterns. She has worked with major Swedish design companies such as Svenskt Tenn, Design House Stockholm, Nola, and Kateha. Sara has participated in many international design exhibitions, in Paris, Milan, and Chicago, and has been commissioned projects by the most important Swedish museums and institutions such as Nationalmuseum and Historiska Museet. She has received many grants for her work and was awarded the Axel Larsson Memorial Fund Scholarship in 2021.
