textile artist and designer
Anita Graffman, born in 1936 in Stockholm Sweden, is a textile artist and designer specialized in handmade mats, rugs, and wall hangings. She studied Interior Architecture as well as Fiber and Textile Art at Konstfack, Stockholm. Her works, whether it be tapestries, carpets, or wall hangings, are often monumental and have been shown all around the world, in Sweden but also in France, England, Denmark, Australia, Japan, and Russia. She is represented in both private and public collections, such as at the Swedish National Museum, the Embassy of Sweden in Tokyo, Washington D. C., New Delhi, and Moscow. She has also collaborated as a designer with established brands, among which NK, Orrefors, Tarkett, and Ecotapeter.
