Camila Manuelsdotter Pino (b.1991) is a photographer based in Stockholm. By using physical photographs as her main artistic tool of expression she often combines embroidery, magical realism, and poetry. She wants to challenge the viewer's way of seeing and approaching art that talks about anti-racism and feminism. The needle and thread become the weapon, inherited from las abuelas. The poetry adds a voice of freedom since the voice of her family has been oppressed due to lack of knowledge or political values in Spanish and Swedish. Thus, she uses these tools to decolonize and prolong the way we are used to see photography.
In the spring of 2021 Camilla took over Misschiefs space at Linnégatan and showed her video art installation.
