Multidisciplinary designer based in Malmö
Kajsa Willner, born in 1982 in Sweden, is a multidisciplinary designer based in Malmö, Sweden. Her arts and design studies, in Gothenburg and at IED in Rome and Milan, as well as her work experience in the Netherlands, brought an international inspiration to her practice. Back in Sweden, she founded her cross disciplinary design studio in Malmö in 2013 and is now working with a wide range of projects, from objects and installations to interior and exhibition design. In her work, Kajsa explores design and its possibilities by experimenting with new sustainable materials from industrial leftovers and new design processes. She has exhibited all around the world in solo and group shows in museums, galleries, and at furniture fairs, like Nationalmuseum Stockholm, Form/Design Center, Malmö, London Design Fair, and Dutch Design Week, to name but a few. She has received prestigious awards and scholarships, such as the 2020 Designer of the Year by Svensk Form Syd and the 2017 A’ Design Award, as well as grants from public cultural institutions.
